Location. The Grand Hotel Terminus is a seven storey corner property housed in a classically handsome building dating from 1928, and is located in central Bergen, 100 metres from the railway station. Bryggen, the old town, is 300 metres from the hotel and the Floybanen funicular railway is 700 metres away. Bergen Airport is 27 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 25 minutes.
Hotel Features. This smoke free hotel houses a sauna and a jetted tub on the seventh floor, as well as a fitness suite. Multilingual staff at the 24 hour front desk can exchange currency and arrange dry cleaning services. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in the public areas.
The Grand Brasserie serves continental dishes in a traditional setting, while the Ambrosia Bar features an open fire and specialises in whiskies.
Guestrooms.The 131 guestrooms over seven floors are decorated in cheerful pastel colours with co ordinated patterned fabrics. All are equipped with satellite television with pay movies, wireless Internet, direct dial phones, minibars and bathrooms.
Expert Tip. Built in 1918, the Floybanen funicular railway climbs 320 metres from the town to the summit of Mount Floyba, which offers panoramic views as well as a restaurant open during summer.
