Location. Hotel Podewils is a restored baroque mansion, built in 1728 by the noted stonemason Krzysztof Strzelecki. It enjoys a prominent place on the embankment of the Motlawa River next to the marina, two kilometres from the Old Town of Gdansk. The hotel is approximately 15 kilometres or a 30 minute drive from Gdansk Airport (GDN).
Hotel Features. After a day of sightseeing guests can unwind with a Finnish or Turkish sauna, or retire to the lounge bar for an aperitif. Multilingual staff on the 24 hour front desk can offer advice on sights and excursions, and arrange dinner reservations or show tickets. Practical amenities include 24 hour room service, wireless Internet access and free parking.
Hotel Podewils boasts gourmet dining from an � la carte menu offering international and French cuisine as well as regional specialities and vegetarian dishes; an extensive wine list is also available . The dining room offers views over the river, and in summer guests can dine al fresco dining on the wood decked riverside terrace.
Guestrooms. There are 10 air conditioned guestrooms located on three floors, all of which have decor in baroque and rococo styles with fine antique furnishings. Amenities include cable television with pay movies and premium channels, CD and DVD players, and minibars. The marble bathrooms feature bathtubs with hydromassage showers, and hair dryers.
Expert Tip. The hotel can organise hot air balloon flights offering ariel views of Gdansk Bay and coastline.

Getting there. From Gdansk Airport take a taxi located outside the terminal building. Gdansk Old Town is small enough to explore on foot. A commuter train departs from the station on the western outskirts of the Old Town connecting the suburbs and beyond.
